               %Deviation of quality control tests:



               •  Thickness: ± 5% or less of standard value.

               •  Diameter: not exceed ± 5% for tablets with diameter less than 12.5 and ± 3% for diameter
                   of 12.5 mm or more.

               •  Hardness (crushing strength):
                      ➢  Chewable tablets are softer which have a hardness of 3 kg.

                      ➢  Oral tablets normally have a hardness of 4 to 10 kg.
                      ➢  Some sustained release tablets are much harder which have a hardness of 11 -20 kg.

               •  Uniformity of weight for tablets (USP):

                      ➢  If the tab. Wt. 130 mg or less ------ +/- 10%
                      ➢  If the tab. Wt. 131- 324 mg    ------ +/- 7.5 %

                      ➢  If the tab. Wt. more than 324  ------ +/- 5 %


               No more than two tablets are outside the percentage limit and no tablet differs by more than
               twice the percentage limit.












               According to BP:






















               •  Friability: Up to 1%.
