B. Professional Information:
1. Course Aims:
This course enables the students to:
• Gain understanding of the principles of various unit operations such as
heat transfer, evaporation, drying, distillation, filtration, centrifugation,
crystallization, extraction, size reduction, size separation, size
analysis and size enlargement.
• Have the skills to apply these unit operations in pharmaceutical
industry with emphasis on the equipment and machines used during the
production of different dosage forms.
