VIRTUAL HIGH SCHOOL (VHS)

Are you an independent learner looking for a challenge? Consider taking an online course through VHS
Collaborative. Students who enroll in a VHS course must be aware that in addition to one class period per day
in their daily Overbrook schedule they will need to complete additional time outside the classroom.
A minimum of 10 additional hours per week outside the classroom is required to be successful in VHS courses.

VHS students use wikis, blogs, and other tools in their daily academic work. VHS courses are designed to
foster discussion and debate; and give students the ability to analyze, critique and create with classmates
through group projects and assignments. They practice global citizenship through the sharing of ideas with a
diverse group of students in a virtual classroom.

Seats are limited in this program. Please see the Counseling Department for applications.

Below is a sampling of the course offerings through VHS Collaborative. You may visit the web at
www.TheVHSCollaborative.org for the most current offerings. Please note that all courses must be approved by
        the principal or guidance supervisor.
