3. Enroll in a prescription drug plan. Medigap policies do not include Rx drug coverage,
and you will need to enroll in a prescription drug plan (also called a Part D stand-
alone plan) or else risk paying a lifetime late-enrollment penalty.
According to the Medicare web site, the lowest-cost prescription drug plan for the
drugs that you take is the Express Scripts Medicare-Saver Prescription Drug Plan.
Details about this plan’s costs and coverage are shown in Appendix C.
You can call Express Scripts at (800) 716-3231 to enroll in the Express Scripts
Medicare-Saver Prescription Drug Plan effective July 1. You may be asked to provide
verification that you have had creditable drug coverage from Toyota since you
turned 65. CVS is a preferred pharmacy in this plan.
