to see specialists, and it would be much easier to get expensive treatments and procedures
covered by Medicare (and a Medigap policy) than by almost any Advantage plan. But the cost
difference is so substantial that it may not be worth it. You can also postpone the decision until
later, although there is some risk in doing so.

               Rx Drug Plan Coverage

Please check the list of Rx drugs on the first page of Appendix D1 to make sure that I entered
them correctly – this is the list that I typed into Medicare’s Plan Finder program, which then
calculated your Rx drug costs in each option. You mentioned that you can use either CVS or
Walgreens when you need a short-term prescription filled, and I chose CVS for pricing quotes.
Page 4 of the evaluation compares your costs in each option, and your annual estimated costs
are included in your minimum costs on page 3 of the evaluation.

Eric, my guess is that you will choose to remain in your current plan. But if you decide to switch
to a Medigap policy + stand-alone drug plan, let me know and I’ll send you a brief explanation
of what you will need to do before December 7.

                                                   Sincerely,

                                                   David Armes, CFP®
