be able to switch to Globe Life or another low-premium insurer without waiting for his birthday
next year.
The only way to know for sure whether you can save money and if so, how much, is to call two
or three companies and get a current quote (phone numbers are shown in Appendix C2). If you
do switch, once you have some form of verification that your new policy will be issued, you can
call Blue Cross to drop your current policy. See the attachment to this letter from the Medicare
web site that briefly describes what to do.
