One potential limitation of the term “hybrid church” is if it considers online and in-person church
            attendance as equal. In some settings, this may mean that participating in an online stream, or being a
            part of a virtual small group in an app, is considered the equivalent of in-person church attendance. This
            egalitarian approach of providing multiple options that are equally weighted may indeed be a viable
            approach to the future of church. For this to be the case, there needs to be further development in the
            three areas of community we defined previously.


            Here are three elements of church community that seem to be best served in physical church services.
