Pedagogy of Care

You have to be passionate about
your profession as a teacher so
you can care and even practice
inclusion in class. Pedagogy of
care as Nodding, 1988 stated. By
that, learners will enjoy lessons
and will start partaking in all
activities. Lessons become fun.

We all want a nice school where classrooms have 25 learners, they are fitted with latest technology, the community around is involved and
everything is perfectly fine. The ideal concept requires agency, in the context of South Africa, there are so many schools that are like or far worse
than Thomas Mofolo Secondary in terms of availability of resources. However, agency will help in eliminating laziness where one waits for ideal
classroom, in an ideal school and community. Agency means the ability for self to act at will. To broaden this concept, it basically means that as a
teacher you do not wait for the right opportunities to come by but instead you create opportunities for yourself.
