Motor Fleet
SPECIFIC EXCEPTIONS (applicable to Sub-Sec on B)
The Company shall not be liable under this Sub-Sec on in respect of:
1. any compensa on or claim which falls within the scope of any Compulsory Motor Vehicle Insurance enactment. This Excep on shall apply notwithstanding that no other insurance under such enactment is in force or has been e ected and regardless of whether the applicable legisla ve fund is unable to or incapable of providing compensa on;
2. death of or injury to any person being carried in or upon or entering or ge ng into or aligh ng from a vehicle described in Vehicle De ni on 2, 3, 4 or 5 at the  me of the occurrence of the event from which any claim arises (except any person being carried in or upon or entering or ge ng onto or aligh ng from a permanently enclosed passenger carrying compartment of a commercial vehicle with a carrying capacity not exceeding 1 500 kg (one thousand  ve hundred kilograms));
3. liability arising from the opera on, demonstra on or use (for purposes other than maintenance or repair of the vehicle) of any tool or plant forming part of or a ached to or used in connec on with a vehicle or anything manufactured by or contained in any such tool or plant. This Excep on shall not apply to forkli  trucks;
4. if it is recommended or required that the driver of the insured vehicle e ects separate third party liability insurance speci c to the country concerned, then the Company will not indemnify the Insured for any legal liability incurred through the use or possession of the insured vehicle whilst in the country concerned outside the borders of South Africa.
3. SUB-SECTION C – MEDICAL EXPENSES DEFINED EVENTS
If an occupant in the speci ed part of a vehicle described below, in direct connec on with such vehicle, sustains bodily injury by violent, accidental, external and visible means, the Company will pay to the Insured the medical expenses incurred as a result of such injury up to R10 000 (ten thousand Rand) per injured occupant and in total for all occupants injured as a result of an occurrence or series of occurrences arising out of one event.
The amount payable under this Sub-Sec on shall be reduced by any amount recoverable under any workmen's compensa on enactment or similar legisla on or under any medical expenses scheme or medical insurance.
The term 'medical expenses' includes any costs incurred to free such injured occupant from such vehicle or to bring such injured occupant to a place where medical treatment can be given.
This bene t applies regardless of whether the applicable legisla ve fund is unable to or incapable of providing compensa on.
DEFINITIONS

Any private-type motor car or motorised caravan
Anywhere inside the vehicle
Any other type of insured vehicle other than a bus or taxi
The permanently enclosed passenger-carrying compartment
Accessories and spare parts (non- standard)
Any accessory or part not supplied by the manufacturer as a standard  tment and   ed as an a ermarket  tment (op onal extras)
Occurrence
The term 'occurrence' shall mean an occurrence or series of occurrences arising from one cause in connec on with any one vehicle in respect of which indemnity is provided by this insurance
Vehicle
De ni on 1
Private type motor cars (including any sta on wagon, 4x4 or 4x2 sta on wagon), safari van, estate car or similar vehicle designed to seat not more than 12 (twelve) persons (including the driver) but excluding taxi's
