Bishop John Patrick Carroll founds Mount St. Charles College (now Carroll College).
1921
Algeria Shriners complete the Algeria Shrine Temple with its towering minaret (now the Helena Civic Center).
1952
The internationally-renowned Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts is founded.
1979
The Montana Women’s Mural is completed on the south end of Last Chance Gulch.
1954
Helena renames its Main Street “Last Chance Gulch.”
2023
Montana Historical Society’s new Montana Heritage Center under construction, completion projected in 2025.
