BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
SHODAIR HOSPITAL
Business of the Year award winner Shodair Hospital, represented by Craig Aasved.
What motivates you to succeed (or to have your business to succeed) at such a high level?
Changing the lives of Montana’s families by serving our Mission: To heal, help and inspire hope.
Why choose to do business in Helena?
It is centrally located in Montana, and since we treat children from the entire state it meets the needs of most families through its geographically location. And, when it does not, we are creative to find ways to provide care by bringing it to them through outreach clinics or telehealth.
What is the most important thing to you in running your business?
Creating a safe space for patients to heal, engaging and empowering employees, and being part of the local and state-wide community with intentionality.
How would you describe your business to a potential client?
Shodair strives to meet patients where they are at, establish trust, provide team of pro- fessionals to develop a treatment plan that fosters help, healing and inspires hope for the future.
Tell us about a tough time for you/your company and what you did to overcome it.
A tragedy last summer impacted every member of the Shodair family. It’s been difficult to overcome this accident, but it did provide us the opportunity to look within and identify processes that we have improved in the name of patient care and overall safety.
Tell us the ideal qualities/traits of people you hire to work for your company.
Compassionate, honest, willing to learn, open to change, adaptable, a heart
for children, non-judgmental, self- awareness, playful, and safe. •
Our Mission:
To heal,
help and
inspire hope.
