1. What was your first job? My first job was working with the maintenance crew at the VA Hospital in Fort Harrison. It was a summer job in High School.
2. As a board member, you
have the inside scoop. What would you share about the Chamber that other members may not know? Being involved with the Chamber for a few years now, I would like to share how impressed I am
with the passion and drive
of the Chamber to support Helena. It has been fun to see how everything the Chamber does is supporting Helena. Everything from Business After Hours, to Cathy’s article in the Independent Record, to
promoting Shop Local. It all adds together to help make Helena such a great place.
3. Words you live by: No matter what, just do the right thing, treat people fairly, and it will all work out in the end.
4. You get to make one change for the Helena community today – what would you do?
I think we have a great oppor- tunity in Helena right now to promote our community and be prepared for future growth in Helena in the coming years. Be- tween our trails, access to lakes/ rivers, our businesses, positive energy in our downtown areas, and our central location, I feel that the Helena is being dis- covered and we are just at the
beginning of some posi- tive growth. 5. Why did you initially choose to get involved with the Chamber?
I grew up
in Helena and am very
proud of that. It is important to me that others have the same experience
that I have
had not only
growing up
here, but
also having
my career
here and
raising my
family here.
Being part of
the Chamber
is one way
that I can
give back to the community and help ensure the success of Helena.
6. One thing you cannot live without during the workday. Starting my day by reading the paper and knowing what is going on in the City, State, and Nation.
7. One adjective that describes you. Conscientious.
8. Favorite movie and why.
Tombstone is my favorite movie. I like the history part of it, the one liners throughout the movie, and it is a great cast of actors. ■
