I chose Mrs. Douglass as my Distinguished Educator because she helped me through my first year in middle school. Computer skills were something I struggled with and she helped me get better without pushing too hard. She made her classroom a safe space for all of her students and always encouraged us when we were struggling. Being in a new school with all new people was especially hard for me and Mrs. Douglass helped me through that. She was always kind and was the main teacher to help
get me out of my shell so I could make friends. Thank you
