Kindergarten is a child’s first contact with public education
and lays the basis for their future academic career; it is a pivotal moment of maturation and independence and it is the teacher who ultimately dictates whether the child will be ready for future academic levels. Mrs. Berry was the most patient, amicable and compassionate teacher that I ever had the pleasure of meeting. She worked to accommodate each and every one of us, personally creating an environment within which we could thrive. Mrs. Berry curated a place where I could be myself and helped me realize my potential. I am honored to have been one of her students and will carry her compassion with me as I pursue my future.
