Mrs. Smith, or Mom, as I like to call her, once told me, “Why do half a job? You’re only cheating yourself.” Granted, that was only in reference to my chores, but she has always pushed me to be my best self. The fun loving, energetic and hard-working per- son I see every day in computer science is the same person
I strive to be every day. No one has taught me more about myself, and I’m glad to have been able to call her my teacher, my mom, and my friend.
