SUNLIGHT
by Maddisen Bummer
As sunshine flows through the drawn back curtains I can’t help but smile.
The sun is one of the only things that has ever made me happy.
In the summer I can’t help but to risk sunburning myself just so I can stay a few more hours out in the glorious summer glow as my body gets more tan and my mind gets happier.
In autumn the sun is such a rare thing that whenev- er I see it out, all I want to do is lay down and bathe in it, knowing that it may be weeks before I get the chance again.
Winter is the hardest time of the year. The sun comes up late and sets early, giving me no time to enjoy her beams. But when she decides to come through, the
warmth I feel can’t be replaced by any fireplace or heater.
Spring sun is a beautiful thing. It brings birth to flow- ers, trees, animals, and overall happiness. The love I feel for spring sun cannot match the love I have for any other season’s sun.
I don’t think that anybody could hate the sun. She warms you from the inside, melting all of the sad and broken pieces together until you’re back to one whole, happy person. I hope I never take her light for granted.
