KNOWING THIS IS YOUR TIME

Sun setting on the mountain tops, inviting you in.
Warmly smiling at you with open arms. As the colors dripped from the clouds. You walk outside smelling the sweet, spring air.
Climbing up a latter to the top of the worn, blue house’s roof.
On the very edge, you stood for a second. In awe of the beautiful scenery, that your small hometown could be a loving place.
That soon you might leave here, to continue your long life. Remembering all the times you thought you weren’t going to get out of here,
to make a future for yourself.
Remembering when you thought you wouldn’t make it another day, week, month. But you fought in this cold world, worked hard for what you wanted.
Now look at you thriving. Learning to love yourself, to be truly happy.
The world has surely sweetened around you.
Telling you that you came so far, you should be proud.
At that moment, you are completely still and at peace.
Knowing that this is your time.
