At this month’s meeting the Garden Club’s own Joy Kan- cir, Master Gardener and Accredited Master Flower Show Judge, will demonstrate design techniques utilizing the principles and elements of design as well as incorporating materials including dried seed heads, weathered wood, dried mushrooms, and other items found around your home, yard, or on country roads. Joy will also discuss a ower show schedule. Come visit the Douglas County Garden Club at 1:00pm on the 1st Tuesday of the month. The meeting location varies, so watch the website.

CR Historical Society presentation – February 16
Join us on Thurs,. February 16 for a presentation by Cam- eron Randolph from Lamb Spring Archaeological Preserve in Highlands Ranch. Mr. Randolph will discuss what’s happening at the site these days and the progress they have made on preserving dinosaur fossils found at the site. Mr. Randolph is a retired Douglas County teacher and is currently on the Lamb Spring Board of Directors. Refreshments will be served at 6:45pm with the presentation beginning at 7:00pm at the Philip S. Miller Library, 100 S. Wilcox St. Castle Rock. CRAC is excited to host numerous Cocktails with Creators throughout February into March where you’ll enjoy viewing unique art at a variety of local establishments. And, Riverwalk Art Show is Sat., February 11 from 11am-4pm at Riverwalk, 115 Wilcox St. See more on page 18.
The Winter Ball – February 4
Snow akes and magic are in the air for the annual Winter Ball. Sat., February 4th from 6-9pm, the Douglas County Events Center will be transformed into a wintery enchanted forest for the night. Dads and daughters, mothers and sons and families of all shapes, ages and sizes, are invited to a night of dancing and fun. Enjoy light refreshments, dancing, opportunity drawings and more.
