Dumb Friends League
New Home for Metro DenverCat
The Dumb Friends League proudly announces an expanded investment in community cats by becoming the new home to the Metro Denver CAT program.
The Dumb Friends League has been a long-time key partner in the work of Metro Denver CAT, but as of July 2022 the program will of cially join the Dumb Friends League. This move ensures both the longevity and continued impact of this groundbreaking work which provides critical services for owned and homeless cats in the community.
Since its inception six years
ago Metro Denver CAT has expanded its work to include zip codes 80219, 80204, 80223, 80216, and 80239. For more than 110 years, the Dumb Friends League has served Denver and the surrounding communities and is now thrilled to take on this highly successful program.
“The Dumb Friends League is extremely excited about furthering the great work of Metro Denver CAT,” said Apryl Steele, President and CEO of the Dumb Friends League. “It gives the League another opportunity to provide care and support for the animals that need it most and to prevent suffering in community cats.”

Included in programs provided by Metro Denver CAT are resources and supplies for outdoor cat management, comprehensive trap-neuter-return (TNR), and spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccines for pet
and feral cats.
The League is excited to expand its role to include the programs facilitated by Metro Denver CAT to aid members of the community who might face barriers that would otherwise prevent them from seeking out care cats in their community might need. To learn more about Metro Denver Cat, visit dd .org.
