Penal Sanction for Violation of Article 72 of the Law of the Republic
of Indonesia No. 19 of 2002 on Copyrights
1. Any person intentionally and without right to publish or to
produce unauthorized copies of a work, give permission to it,
shall be subject to imprisonment of a least 1 (month) and/or a fine
of at least Rp1.000.000,00 (one million rupiah), or imprisonment
for a maximum of 7 (seven) years and/or a maximum fine of
Rp5.000.000.000,00 (five billion rupiah).
2. Any person who intentionally broadcast, exhibits, distributes or
sells to the public a work or articles of infringement of copyright
or related right may be subject to imprisonment of 5 (five) years
and/or a maximum fine of Rp500.000.000,00 (five hundred
million rupiah).
