Brother Superior. Years later when he compiled a sort
of personal journal, he wrote: "The Brothers came . . .
but unfortunately the Superior came with them . . . a
good man but with no head. He found fault with
everything, after having at first expressed himself as
pleased."
Neither was Brother Ryken huppy over the situation:
the Brothers were not teaching at the Cathedral School;
they were not living in the house in front of that school;
the Bishop was not living up to the contract.
