On September 1.3,1991, Carrollton acquired a new property which
eventually will be the school campus for Montessori, part of the Lower
School and a new program for seventh and eighth grade.
The decision to expand became apparent with the growing demand for
larger classrooms and library, for belter laboratories and lor other educa
tional activities which would enhance the school.
After much discussion. The Board of Trustees agreed that it was neces
sary to expand the present campus, and found the right opportunity with
the availability of the Hughes Estate.
The new school grounds represent a new challenge taken, a dream ful
filled. These grounds are a symbol of Carrollton's desire to expand our
         education and fulfill our goals.
