   FROM THE DIRECTOR
It’s that special time of year
when many of us will focus on providing gifts to children, parents, grandparents, spouses, and friends, etc. and probably look for budget- saving ways to do so. Brandon Library has two fun ways to make this gift-giving season less stressful. First, we offer weekly Take and Make kits that contain everything you need to complete a small project—and
we have them available for children, teens, and adults! Please note that you will need to register for one of the kits.
Second, we offer an online service called Creativebug (creativebug. com/lib/brandonlibrary), which provides “thousands of award- winning art & craft video classes taught by recognized design experts and artists.” Some of the categories include art & design, sewing, quilting, paper, knitting, crochet, jewelry, holiday & party, and kids! Truly something for everyone. All you need to access the database is an active Brandon Library card. If you aren’t sure of the status of your card or you need to sign up for one, please call us at 248-627-1460 and we are happy to help you
get started.
As someone who has never had a knack for art, I just want to say that ifIcandoit, socanyou!Wewould love to see your art & craft projects, so please share your photos with our Facebook page or Instagram account and let us know if you made it from one of our kits or from a Creativebug class.
Happy Holidays and Happy Crafting!

ZOOM ACCESS
Many of the Library’s virtual programs will take place over Zoom.
Zoom meetings can be accessed in three ways: through an invite link, through the meeting ID, or by phone call.
If you plan to access the meeting via invite link or meeting ID, please be sure to download the Zoom app to your device before the meeting. Check to make sure your device’s microphone and speakers are functional. You should not need a webcam to attend any of the library’s virtual programs, but the video feature may be enabled in selected programs if you would like.
To access the Zoom meeting via phone call, you will need to call the teleconferencing number provided by the library. Please note that if you choose to access a Zoom meeting by phone call, you will not be able to watch or show visual footage, but you can still hear the presenter and speak as permitted.
For more information, please visit the Zoom Help Center at support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/ articles/201362193-Joining-a-meeting or call the library at 248-627-1460.
