 DIRECTOR’S LETTER
As I write this, Brandon Library is going through a period of transition. The Library Board has selected a new Trustee to fill the vacancy that was created when former Board President Tiffany Ragland resigned to further her education. Tiffany was a spectacular Trustee and President and contributed so much to the overall success of
the library since she joined us in November 2016.
Also, after seven years as the director of Brandon Library, I am retiring
as of January 2022 due to family obligations. I am leaving sooner
than I had originally planned, but I leave confident in the knowledge that the library has a very bright future. When I started in January 2015, we had an insignificant fund balance and were not viewed as
a financially stable organization. I
am pleased to announce that we
have $880,000+ in our fund balance even after a $250,000+ renovation
in September 2019. One of my top goals as I prepare to leave is to ensure that Brandon Library will continue to provide excellent customer service, entertaining programs for all ages, and a vibrant collection of print
and electronic resources for our community, and with the current staff complement we have, this goal is guaranteed!
Thank you to the Staff, Board of Trustees, and Community for allowing me to direct Brandon Township Public Library. It has been an honor and a privilege.
