Teen Fall 2021 continued... Programs for Teens in Grades 6-12
Pirate Name Generator
September - All Month Long
So...ye wants to be a pirate, do ye? Well, before ye acquires a ship and crew, ye first needs to acquire a pirate name! Discover yours with our Pirate Name Generator (Talk Like A Pirate Day is September 19).
Ominous Statement Generator
October - All Month Long
Tis the time for All Things Spooky. Stop by Teen and try out our Ominous Statement Generator...if you DARE. (Bonus points if you can use the statement in conversation later in the day)

Bitty Bops (babies under age 2,
with an adult lap)
Mondays, 10:30 a.m.
Session 1: September 13 through October 18 (no class October 11)
Session 2: October 25 through November 29 (no class November 22)
Babies like stories and music too! This program includes songs, nursery rhymes, fingerplays and short stories with your baby. We want this to be a special time for you and your baby, so please make other arrangements for siblings.
Toddler Time
(ages 24 months – 35 months, with an adult lap)
Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m.
Session 1: September 14 through October 19
Session 2: October 26 through November 30
(no class November 23)
Enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, and activities with your toddler.
We want to make this a special time for you and your toddler so please make other arrangements for siblings.
Preschool Storytime (ages 3 – 5 years)
Thursdays, 10:30 a.m.
Session 1: September 16 through October 21
Session 2: October 28 through December 2
(no class November 25)
Listen to stories, sing songs, learn fingerplays & rhymes. Children should be able to listen independently for this class. This is a great introduction for children to being in a group and following directions.
After-School Adventures
(grades K-2)
Wednesdays, 4:30 – 5:15 p.m.
Session 1: September 15 through October 20 Session 2: October 27 through December 1 (no class November 24)
Listen to stories and be creative with arts and crafts and other activities.

     It’s ALIVE! Franken-Toy Laboratory
Saturday, October 30, All Day
One Day ONLY: Drop in and create a creepy new toy from bits and pieces of old ones. We’ll have all the supplies you need. Just bring your twisted imagination.
  Coloring Sheets
Every Day
Stop in and grab a coloring sheet or two. We’ll change these out often, so if you have a request, please let us know. We’ll do our best to make it happen!

Find the Pirate Treasure
September - All Month Long
To celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day (ok, month), we’ve hidden pirate treasure throughout the Teen Area. Find one and turn it in to the Teen Desk for a treasure!
Sugar Skull Coloring Contest
October - All Month Long
Drop in all this month and request a Sugar Skull coloring sheet. Turn it in by Saturday October 30 for a chance to win a prize! Entries will be displayed in the Teen Department and judged by Library Staff.
         Volunteering at OPL
Open to teens in grades 6-12
Do you need service hours for NHS, Scouting, or other Service Group? Volunteering opportunities are now open to responsible teens in grades 6 through 12. See Rachael or Alissa at the Teen Reference Desk if interested.
