Fall into Books! continued... Youth Department - All programs are FREE!
Lego® Club (grades 3-5)
Thursdays, 4:30 – 5:15 p.m.
Session 1: September 16 through October 21 Session 2: October 28 through December 2 (no class on November 25)
Build amazing creations every week! Each week you will have a different task to build something fun.
Enhanced Storytime (Ages 0-5, with a caregiver)
Saturday,September18, October16&November20 10:15 - 11:15 a.m.
Registration is required. Register for each date separately beginning August 23
These monthly storytimes will expand the early
literacy and language skills we always incorporate into storytime by adding stations to explore and develop fine motor, sensory, problem solving, gross motor and social emotional skills. Each family will receive one copy of the featured book to take home and keep. (Made possible by a grant from the Great Start Collaborative)
StoryWalk (All ages)
Enjoy our fall-themed StoryWalk! The StoryWalk begins at the northwest corner of the library parking lot and weaves around Powell Lake Park. Don’t forget to stop and sign our guest book and pick up an activity sheet located in the box at the first station.
Family Yoga (Ages 4 and up)
Wednesday, September 15, 6:30 p.m.
Registration is required and begins August 23
Join Mr. Caleb for kid-friendly yoga on the lawn in Powell Lake Park (south of the library). Bring a mat or beach towel for each person. In the event of rain, the program will move inside.
Family Sing-Along (All ages)
Wednesday, September 29, 6:30 p.m.
Registration is required and begins August 23
Join Mr. Caleb in Powell Lake Park (south of the library) for a family sing-along. We will sing songs, do some silly dances and play some fun games. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on. In the event
of rain, the program will move inside.
Trick or Treat: Candy and Crafts (All ages)
Saturday, October 30 between
10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 31 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
(Drop-in, no registration required)
Drop by the Library and trick-or-treat around all the departments to show off your costumes! While you are here, stop by the Youth Department and pick up a craft project to take and make at home.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month
Bring a parent and sign up for your own library card! Show your new card to the staff at the Youth Desk and we will give you a special library card holder.
100 Books to Read in Kindergarten - Poster Giveaway
If you have a child in Kindergarten, pick up a poster and stickers at the Youth Desk to track some of the best books to read to your Kindergartener.
