Between the Lines Book Club

Between the Lines is an all-new book club for teens here at Brandon Township Public Library! Come join us as we discuss this quarter’s pick: These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong. Registration is required by April 11th to join. Copies of the book will be checked out through MeL and supplied to you.

Teens (ages 13 and up) can join us at the library every Monday for after school fun! Activities will change every week but include board games, trivia, crafts, music, movies, and of course SNACKS. Don’t want to participate in this week’s activity? That’s okay! Teens can use this time to hangout with friends, socialize, or do homework too. No registration is required, just drop-in.

  Time for a Movie!

This March, we will be watching Respect (2021) starring Jennifer Hudson and Forest Whitaker. Respect portrays the life story of legendary R&B singer Aretha Franklin who’s 80th birthday would have been this month. In April, we will be screening Key Largo (1948) starring Humphrey Bogart and Claire Trevor. Key Largo is about a war-weary World War II veteran forced into a confrontation with the nervous, sadistic mobster who is holding the occupants of a Florida hotel hostage during a hurricane.
Area Agency on Aging Overview Presentation

The Area Agency on Aging 1-B is a nonprofit serving older adults, people with disabilities, and family caregivers in a six- county region of southeast Michigan that includes Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, and Washtenaw counties. They help people access the services and programs they need to remain living independently and with dignity
in their own home or with family caregivers. Could you or
a loved one benefit from some assistance? Join us for a presentation on all of the amazing services that are available to older adults and their caretakers in our community. There will be time for questions about specific services at the end of the presentation.
