Mu%u00f1oz%u2014a woman, mother, sister,friend, and above all, a human being committed tohelping others transform their lives, just as she hasand continues to do because life is a continuouslearning journey.Yadira was born in Cali, Colombia, and raised inEcuador, where her maternal grandparents lived afterher mother separated from her father. She and hersister attended the American School in Quito. Shefondly and nostalgically recalls her childhoodvacations traveling to Lago Agrio, the Ecuadorianjungle, where her grandparents taught them all aboutsurvival, animals, and nature.Yadira completed her studies in the U.S., and uponreturning to Ecuador, she decided to work as a tourguide at the Flotel Orellana, a floating hotel on theCoca River that provided jungle experiences foradventurous tourists. She recalls this time fondly, asit instilled in her a deep respect for nature and thebalance of life.At 21, she became a mother for the first time andlovingly welcomed her daughter Nicole. A few yearslater, her second daughter, Natasha, was born,followed by her youngest son, Nicol%u00e1s. Like manywomen, love proved challenging to find.
