ADVANTAGE Program Overview
The Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) program at
Kettering University gives you the business skills, knowledge and attitudes
needed to be successful in managing engineering and technical projects
and teams.
Through dedicated studies (blending topics of traditional business areas
with technical coursework in engineering) and through added opportunities
for sponsored real-world work experience, you will have an unmatched
environment for gaining expertise in general business management and
mastering the tools needed to succeed.
Masters of Science in Engineering Management applicants must have
a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an approved ABET-
accredited engineering (not technology), computing program or be a
Kettering University graduate with a degree other than management or
business. You may start this program in any of our four terms. The MSEM
program does not require a thesis.
Program Objectives and Requirements
>> Graduating students will have an integrated knowledge of engineering
management and demonstrated ability to perform as management
professionals. They will be prepared for continued learning throughout
their careers.
>> S tudents will have the positive perspectives and skills that create
productive employees and managerial leaders.
The MSEM program consists of a total of ten courses (40 credit hours)
which includes six core courses plus four elective courses, allowing
you to customize your program to meet your professional needs. Your
future competitive advantage can be built right into your studies.
