AFLAC Plans
AFLAC plans can be elected on a voluntary basis and are paid through convenient
payroll deduction.
Short Term Disability (STD)
You can elect this coverage to protect one of your most important
assets—your income. If you meet the deinition of disability, you will
be eligible to receive a beneit equal to 60 percent of your pre-disability
monthly earnings up to $6,000 per month, for up to three months, or until
you are no longer disabled. STD beneits are payable as of the irst day
for an accident or the 14th day for an illness. Guarantee issue (no medical
questions) coverage of $3,000 is available during initial enrollment only.
Critical Illness
Critical illnesses can be a major detriment to your income, health insurance
expenses, and daily living. AFLAC’s Critical Illness coverage pays a lump
sum, directly to you for any of the below conditions. Employees may elect
$5,000 increments up to $50,000. Spouse coverage is also available up to
$25,000. Children are covered at no additional cost at 50 percent of your
employee level coverage amount. Guarantee issue (no medical questions)
coverage of $20,000 for employees and $10,000 for spouse is available
during initial enrollment only.
