Plan Changes Effective 01/01/2022




New Plan Year
Our beneit plans have moved to a calendar year plan.
Your 2022 beneit elections will be in force 01/01/2022 through 12/31/2022.


New Health Savings Account Contributions
Summit BHC will contribute to your Health Savings Account (HSA) in 2022 if you make contributions to your
HSA. Contributions from Summit BHC will be made each pay period throughout the plan year.
Annual Contribution: Per Pay Period
Employee Only $250 $9.62
Employee + Dependent(s) $500 $19.23


New Flexible Spending Accounts
Summit BHC has Healthcare, Limited Purpose Healthcare, and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts
available through WEX. We are ofering Flexible Spending Accounts to help you pay for health and daycare
expenses tax-free. Make an election for 2022 if you want to take advantage and save money.


Medical
Medical and pharmacy costs continue to rise and as a result, we must pass along a small increase to your
premium for the 2022 plan year. Summit BHC absorbed the majority of the increase. Additionally, medical
plan changes:
z Emergency room coverage to discourage use of the ER for non-emergent care
z Provider administered and self-administered specialty drug coverage
z Out-of-network coverage out-of-pocket limits are increasing
The High Deductible Health plan is being enhanced with the addition of a preventive drug list which allows
you to get certain medications at a copay with the deductible WAIVED. The Preventive Rx List can be found
at Summit BHC—EMB Beneits.
You will receive new medical ID cards from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee to begin using January 1.
