Important Changes to FSA Program in 2015
Effective January 1, 2015 our FSA program will be administered
through UnitedHealthcare (UHC). Since UHC will also be
administering our medical program, if you enroll in one of our UHC
plans and elect to participate in the FSA program you can manage your
medical and FSA claims at the same time through myuhc.com. You can
contribute up to $2,500 annually into your healthcare FSA.
The current 2014 plan will no longer include a 2.5 month grace period.
Instead, members will be allowed to roll over up to $500 of unused
FSA dollars into your account to use in the 2015 plan year. The amount
you roll over is in addition to your regular annual election. Additionally,
you will be allowed to roll over up to $500 of unused funds from 2015
to 2016.
Restricted Debit Card
When you enroll in the healthcare FSA you will receive a restricted
debit card to use for FSA eligible expenses. Your FSA debit card
eligible expenses include dental, vision, pharmacy, and over-the-counter
medications with a written prescription from your doctor. Under the
HRA plan, any expenses you incur to satisfy your medical deductible or
out-of-pocket maximum are directly applied toward your HRA account.
