An historic commercial area in Deira has been transformed into a vibrant pedestrian tourist
corridor.

The 'Old Municipal Street' has received a new lease of life following a major overhaul, which

included installation of a new gate, lighting enhancements, street paving and the integration of
heritage elements.

The project, which links various traditional markets along the creek, stretches from Al Ras to the

Gold Market.
