Miqyas Al Dhad Forms Strategic Collaboration with Alef Education

to Redefine Arabic Literacy Assessment

Miqyas Al Dhad, a pioneering Arabic reading scale, has announced a strategic collaboration with Alef Education, the UAE-based global leader
in education technology, to transform how Arabic literacy is assessed across the region. As part of the partnership, Alef Education will officially
adopt Miqyas Al Dhad as its standard measure of Arabic reading proficiency across its digital learning platforms, enabling educators to access
more accurate, culturally aligned, and data-driven insights into student performance.

The collaboration will also be strengthened through the expertise of MetaMetrics®, the global developer of the Lexile® Framework for
Reading. MetaMetrics will conduct a comprehensive linking study to align Alef Education’s assessment suite with the Miqyas Al Dhad scale.
This alignment aims to ensure scientific validity, precision, and consistency with international best practices, while safeguarding the linguistic
uniqueness of the Arabic language.

According to Eyad Darawsheh, General Manager of Miqyas Al Dhad, the collaboration represents an important step toward creating a unified
framework for measuring Arabic reading skills. He noted that the partnership will help deliver research-backed literacy assessments that
support learners across the region. Joe El Sebaaly, Chief Product Officer at Alef Education, described the partnership as a strategic milestone
for the company, emphasising its role in advancing education through culturally relevant, data-driven tools that empower students and guide
instructional decisions.

By integrating the Miqyas Al Dhad scale within Alef Education’s innovative digital ecosystem, the partnership aims to foster a future where
Arabic learners benefit from precise, accessible, and comprehensive reading assessments—strengthening regional literacy outcomes and
advancing the shared goal of lifelong learning.
