Al Nakhi further explained that Reading Month is an intellectual milestone aimed at raising
awareness about reading's role in personal growth and community development. By promoting
reading across age groups, the nation is preparing a capable generation ready for future challenges,
supporting a sustainable knowledge-based economy.

The Ministry’s Cultural and Creative Centres will host various events throughout Reading Month
2025. These include initiatives by local cultural entities aimed at fostering a reading culture among
all societal members. The programme underscores the Ministry's efforts to make reading central to
cultural development.

Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, Dr. Amal Al Qahtani, Khoula Al Mujaini, Asmaa Al Mutawat, and
Shaikha Al-Mutairi were also present at the announcement. Their participation highlights the

goals.

The UAE Centennial 2071 plan aims to elevate the country's global standing in innovation and
