It would be an insurmountable task to catalogue all that this little country has to offer – you could
spend years exploring England’s highways and ancient byways and barely scratch the surface.
But there are some must-see destinations in England that deserve to be visited whether you’ve
lived on this planet for 18 years or 80. From Cornwall’s epic seascapes to Norfolk’s waterways, the
gently rolling hills of the Cotswolds and the stupendous granite fells and glassy meres of the Lake
District, our rural landscapes are calling out for you to strap on your walking boots, get back on
your bike or at the very least, putter about on the water.
And then there are the cities. London's theatres, museums, bars and restaurants are surely some of
the best in the world. Ready for weekenders is Brighton on the south coast, with its pleasure pier
and palace fit for a king, and Bath in the southwest, city of Georgian grandeur named for its
Roman baths and prettier than any chocolate box that I know of.
