Has it been 11 years already? This truck was built
in 2007 and wound up as a feature in issue #1 of RRM all the
way back in May, 2010. Tony Mitchell turned a forlorn ‘56 Chevy
3200 that had sat outside for the better part of 30 years into
head-turning, smooth-riding machine. An old 2WD Suburban
gave up its running gear and frame in order to breathe life into
this monster. Tony went through the 454 and Turbo 400 for
reliability and sliced and diced the frame out of cheapness to
create his vision. He also completely hand-fabbed a new fi rewall,
fl oors, and trans tunnel out of black diamond plate.
