as Arizona. The Rat Rod magazine crew made
the trip down from Minnesota to debut our
new merchandise trailer. As the day went on it
was clear everyone was having the blast we all
wanted them to have.
Later in the day a line of beautiful ladies took
to the main stage for the crowning of the fi rst
ever, Miss Wrenchfest. There was no set attire for
Miss Wrenchfest. We didn’t want your everyday
Pin Up contest you could see anywhere. Each
lady was asked a simple question and then given
a few minutes to pose for cell phone pics by the
crowd on a rat rod at the front of the stage. In
the end, we had a clear winner and you will fi nd
her feature here in this issue.
Another highlight of the day was the always
popular burn out contest with event sponsor
Sparks Speed Shop putting up $500 to the
winner. The show defi nitely did not disappoint as
tire after tire was melted off their rims.
I must take my hat off to Steve and Brandie
at Throttle America. They put forth a ton of effort
towards making this event a success and without
that joint effort, it could not have happened. I
cannot think of anyone I’d rather team up with on
an event like this. Talks will no doubt begin soon on
the next chapter of Wrenchfest St Louis. We will
