ou’ve likely seen images in past issues of
couples tying the rusty knot in Rat Rod
fashion, from our friends who were married
at big events like the Redneck Rumble and others
who brought a taste of rat rod culture into their
private gatherings. It’s fun to see rat rods included in
any celebration, really… but lately people have been
upping-the-ante. The “rat rod wedding” is a “thing,”
and it’s awesome.
Part of rat rod culture’s charm is its family-fi rst
mentality, comradery, and fellowship — and these
elements have long been the foundation of the scene
as a whole. So why not surround yourself with rusty
rides and rat rod family on your special day? Our Kay and Sco y
friends have been doing just that… turning car shows
into weddings and weddings into car shows, mixing

vows with burnouts, and interweaving the rat rod
lifestyle into their married lives forever.
The imagery on these pages only captures a
few of the moments from a couple of the latest rat
rod weddings — there have been many, and will be
many more — each of them special. To all those rusty
romantics past, present, and future — we salute you.
Now if only Vince Vaughn and
Owen Wilson would show up…
