WHAT IS IT YOU WANT? I MEAN REALLY WANT?
One of my business mentors was sharing a story with me about a situation that happened to his family several years ago. His wife had come back to the house with their young son and she had forgotten the key to get into the house. Standing outside in the cold she pondered how she could get in.
In his story he described their house and that it had a large opening that you could fit a small package through and she thought that her son might be able to squeeze through it. So she asked him, “If I push you through the opening, can you go into the kitchen, get a chair, stand on it, reach Mommy’s keys and pass them back to me through the opening?”
The young child wanting to help his mom, of course replied, “I’d love to!”
And so in he went. He just squeezed through and he made it in unharmed. His wife directed him saying, “Go and get the chair 23
