later in life. As parents, it’s our job to nurture our children’s dreams and encourage them to follow their natural bent. There are numerous childhood development studies that outline the benefits of allowing your child to search, explore and follow their dreams.
The Bible provides some awe-inspiring insight into this way of thinking. Proverbs 18:16 assures us, “A man’s gifts will make room for him.”
Your gift is that divine spark that you were born with. It is that certain something you were created to live out and be. Your gift is connected to your purpose, your passion and ultimately, your ability to live a fulfilled life. It is all wrapped up in your big ‘why.’
When you’re operating in your gift and walking out your purpose, it doesn’t matter how difficult the journey is. It doesn’t matter how much time it takes to evolve or become exactly what you are called to be. Money, education, and time invested in your purpose doesn’t feel like a sacrifice to you, because it’s what you are meant to do! There is an inner passion connected to our purpose!
German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche said, “He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.”
How long? How difficult? How much will it cost me? How far will I have to go? How much more will I have to learn? How many more obstacles will I face? These things don’t matter when you have your ‘why!’
