So when we look at this step of the system .. step 1 .. where are we .. Whenever we ask that question .. the answer is we are here .. we are always here .. where am I .. I’m here .. who am I .. I’m me
but why am I here .. because I’m me
This is my life experience because of who I am
If I want to change where I am .. I need to change who I am .. (or at least .. who I’ve grown to be at this point .. so far)
Men are anxious to improve their circumstances, but are unwilling to improve themselves; they therefore remain bound
Ghandi – you must become the good you want to see in the world

So our circumstances suggest to the world .. who we are .. don’t they but he also says that our circumstances can never be known to another .. and that they are not a reflection of our entire character .. only that bit at that time
So we needed feel too bad .. and the slide on page 17 helps with this And I think it’s helpful to remind ourselves of just how great we are We are perfect imperfect human beings .. there is so much to us .. so many aspects to our character .. that we are impossible to judge fairly ..
we can judge any one element but not everything .. we are simply too complex .. too unique ..
so the bottom there .. it suggests that there are many more aspects of I .. then we ever normally consider .. some good .. some less so .. all evolving .. so to take just one .. and conclude that we are no good because that tiny aspect of the complete who we are is not where we want it to be .. is a ridiculous activity to engage in .. when you think about it
