 Visualization Exercise 4 : Rehearsal Experience
This exercise builds on Visualization Exercise 3, so it is best if you have practiced and experimented with this one for several days, and ideally exercises 1 & 2 aswell, before you move on to this exercise.
In this exercise you will become the experiencer of yourself performing various activities.
In exercise 2 you watched movies of yourself in a certain venue. In this exercise you will experience yourself performing in real life. So the setting will be wherever the experience would normally take place. If you are rehearsing on stage at a key customers’ offices, then that’s what you will imagine.
At first, you may find it useful to think about the different roles you are going to perform in advance.
The key difference between exercise 2 and this exercise is even though you may use the same scenario, the exercises are different. In exercise 2 you are watching you perform as if you were a 3rd party looking on. And in this exercise, you are experiencing it through your own eyes and ears.
Using both exercises is a great way to to feel strong, confident and capable about yourself and your abilities. Very successful people do both of these exercises very naturally. If you do not, you can make a point of doing it deliberately.
Research has shown that this is almost as good as actual experience. And Mind Movie Experience, Rehearsal Experience and physical world experience, altogether are more powerful than either on their own.
When you are ready to start the exercise, start in the same way as the other exercises.
