96 SELF IMAGE MASTERY ACTION GUIDE
 Activity Exercise 5 : Doing New Things
This is the simplest exercise to do but do not let its simplicity fool you! This exercise is very enlightening; very insightful; very enabling. But only if you actually do it.
Changes to your results will come from changing your self image. Changing your self image will come largely from positive action – from doing different things.
You are in the habit of doing the same things. You need to consciously go against these habits.
A simple way to do this is to do something different every day. On the first day it could be as simple as driving a different route. As you experiment, however, try and vary many different aspects of life. If you always respond in a certain way to certain questions, challenge yourself to respond in different ways.
The exercise is not to become aware of how automatic daily life is and how those daily actions produce your current results. Changing your actions can lead to different results. It can also lead to changes to the self image.
Try and be creative as you can. Keeping a log of the things you are trying differently will help greatly.
