37 Godlike thoughts. An ignoble and bestial character, by the
38 same process, is the result of the continued harboring of
39 groveling thoughts.
40 Man is made or unmade by himself; in the armory of thought
41 he forges the weapons by which he destroys himself; he also
42 fashions the tools with which he builds for himself heavenly
43 mansions of joy and strength and peace. By the right choice
44 and true application of thought, man ascends to the Divine
45 Perfection; by the abuse and wrong application of thought, he
46 descends below the level of the beast. Between these two
47 extremes are all the grades of character, and man is their
48 maker and master.
49 Of all the beautiful truths pertaining to the soul which have
50 been restored and brought to light in this age, none is more
51 gladdening or fruitful of divine promise and confidence than
52 this - that man is the master of thought, the molder of
53 character, and maker and shaper of condition, environment,
54 and destiny.
