403 thousands of people just as surely though less rapidly. The
404 people who live in fear of disease are the people who get it.
405 Anxiety quickly demoralizes the whole body, and lays it open
406 to the entrance of disease; while impure thoughts, even if not
407 physically indulged, will soon shatter the nervous system.
408 Strong, pure, and happy thoughts build up the body in vigor
409 and grace. The body is a delicate and plastic instrument,
410 which responds readily to the thoughts by which it is
411 impressed, and habits of thought will produce their own
412 effects, good or bad, upon it.
413 Men will continue to have impure and poisoned blood so long
414 as they propagate unclean thoughts. Out of a clean heart
415 comes a clean life and a clean body. Out of a defiled mind
416 proceeds a defiled life and corrupt body. Thought is the fount
417 of action, life and manifestation; make the fountain pure, and
418 all will be pure.
