            Folding of paper is one of the tasks performed in almost any business operation. There are many variations of folding
            machines, from a manual setup unit to a fully automated system.
            Many folders include pre-programmed fold patterns – the most common being letter fold (C fold), zig-zag fold (Z fold),
            half fold (V fold), gate fold and double parallel fold. High-production large-format folders can have up to 20 pre-set
            patterns as well as programmable custom-fold job capabilities. Paper is fed into the unit using a friction wheel or air-
            powered suction, then it is folded with either a buckle fold or a knife fold, or a combination of both. Skandacor has a
            folder for every industry from small offices and the quick print industry to mailrooms and commercial print producers.

                                                            Creasing works by compressing and bending the paper fiber
                                                            into a crease, in contrast to traditional scoring that actually
                                                            breaks the paper fiber. Combining creasing and folding into
                                                            one machine has given digital printers unprecedented speed
                                                            and quality of finished product.
