ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA’S CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT PROGRAMME
Since the of cial launch of Antigua and Barbuda’s Citizenship by Investment Programme (CIP) in October 2013, the initiative has become one of the leading and most sought-after global investment migration programmes in the world.
WHY ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA?
LIFESTYLE Antigua and Barbuda is a world-class destination, which boasts warm weather year-round, 365 sun-soaked white- sand beaches, and clear, turquoise waters. Easily accessible, with frequent, direct  ights from the United Kingdom, USA and Canada. Politically and economically stable, with a low crime rate, this twin-island country bene ts from a  xed exchange rate with the US dollar (1 US$ = 2.7 EC$). English is the of cial language.
MOBILITY With an Antigua and Barbuda passport, a citizen has visa-free travel to 149 countries, including Hong Kong, Singapore, UK and the Schengen area. Dual citizenship is permitted. The passport is valid for  ve years and the only residency stipulation is that the new citizen will be required to spend a total of  ve days in Antigua and Barbuda in the  ve years following the granting of citizenship.
GREATER ECONOMIC FREEDOM No personal income tax, no taxes levied on capital gains, inheritance and worldwide income. Individuals who have their permanent residence in the country or who are present for at least 183 days a year will qualify as residents of Antigua and Barbuda.
DIRECT ROUTE TO CITIZENSHIP Once all the requirements are met, the process of becoming a citizen of Antigua and Barbuda can take as little as 90–120 days. In addition, families including spouse, dependent children under 29 years, parents and grandparents over 58 years can obtain citizenship through one simultaneous application.
INVESTMENT OPTIONS There are three options to acquire citizenship through Antigua and Barbuda’s programme:
National Development Fund:
Option A: For a single applicant, or for a family of 4 or less persons, the NDF contribution is US$100,000.00, with Government processing fees for the main applicant and a family of up to 4 persons of US$25,000.00.
Option B: For a family of 5 or more the NDF contribution is US$125,000.00 with Government processing fees for a family of  ve members of US$25,000.00 for the main applicant, spouse and 2 dependents with US$15,000.00 for each additional dependent.
Real Estate Investment: Applicants are required to make a minimum investment of US$400,000.00 in a CIP pre-approved real estate development for a period of  ve years. The Government processing fees are US$50,000.00 for a family of up to four persons with US$15,000.00 for each additional dependent.
Business Investment: An individual can make an investment of at least US$1,500,000.00 in a CIP approved business, or make a joint business investment where each investor applicant contributes a minimum of US$400,000.00, totaling a minimum amount of US$5,000,000.00 to the joint investment.
