Sick and Denial
I was so sick I had no idea
Only those of us that are sick are in denial When I finally realized my perception of life had been askew
I was in shock
Had I ever been honest
With myself
It’s the relationship that matters the most The one that I need to cultivate everyday In order to help others
I was too sick to see
Too judgmental to know
I was the one that needed the help
So easy to pick out the flaws in others that I needed help in
So easy to blame everyone else but myself So easy to allow others to use me Because I was using myself
It all goes back to me
Never feel like a victim
The power to change is within you
You will cultivate and create that which you think you deserve
But you deserve more
Be still in knowing you are good God is good
And life is kind
