Strategy, Policy, and Industry Group (SP&I) Group provides strategic policy advice to enable defence capability and national security priori- ties and supports strengthened decision-making in Defence.
SP&I Group collaborates actively with key agencies across govern- ment and has a rigorous internal contestability process to ensure its policy advice is firmly bedded within broader government priorities and resources.
ASSOCIATE SECRETARY ORGANISATION
The Associate Secretary integrates the work of different parts of the Defence Organisation to get more effective and efficient outcomes, particularly in the areas of service delivery.
The Associate Secretary is responsible for Defence enterprise plan- ning, performance and risk management functions, and the integration of all corporate enabling services, including finance, facilities and estate security, information and communications technology, informa- tion management, human resources, legal, audit and security vetting services. Activities for which the Associate Secretary is accountable are mapped to the Defence Executive Support program in the Defence Portfolio Budget Statements.
DEFENCE INTELLIGENCE GROUP
Defence Intelligence Group provides strategic advice, policy and intelligence to enable defence capability and national security priorities and supports strengthened decision-making in Defence.
Defence Intelligence Group is comprised of Australian Geospatial- Intelligence Organisation, Defence Intelligence Organisation and Intelligence Policy.
